Hello, I had a delightful day today as the weather has been good and I've been surrounded by funny and lovely friends. I'm also excited because the last few days I've been snapping away with my Olympus film camera and I can't wait to see it developed once all the films been used. On another note, today I want to share with you how to make your own stationery. It's fun and easy to make and it's delightful to give one of your handmade cards for a birthday or just to a friend. Plus it's using up your scraps of fabric and paper and there's nothing better than handmade. They could also been used as cute invitation for parties. What you'll need is:
  • Folded cards and matching envelopes
  • Scraps of paper & Fabric
  • Matching Thread
  • Sewing machine
  • glue

1. Choose scraps of paper and fabric which are slightly bigger than your cards. You could pick a colour theme. 2. Cut your paper & fabric in squares slightly smaller than your card. Fray the edges of your fabric by gently pulling threads out. 3. Set your sewing machine at 2 (toughness) for 2 layers and pick matching thread. Place your square onto the front of your card and sew around the 4 sides. stopping at each corner 1cm before the fabric so you don't sew off the fabric. 4. Do the same with the paper, you can use a few pins to secure it to the card {you can do the same with fabric}. 5. For the envelopes cut small strips of pretty paper and sew a little rectangle on them like shown above. Then glue them to the envelopes. 6. And your done!I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial again. Tomorrow I will be blogging about what I've got up to recently and some really cool photos of the allotment and things I've found. Thank you for reading and have a l Lovely day!Love, Becky oxPhotobucket
